On today’s Its A Wonderful Life, Coach, Speaker, & Executive Director of The John Maxwell Team, Marc Major, joined Lori to talk about seeing the big picture, leading by example and modeling our expectations with our team. They mentioned how sometimes there’s a learning curve, but investing time in reading to understanding ourselves and others would be helpful.
Next, they discussed communicating well, and how writing instead of face to face conversations can result in misunderstandings when tone of voice and facial expressions aren’t seen. Marc encouraged us to give people the benefit of the doubt, and Lori added how sometimes people aren’t team players. Their main point was how relationships are vital in leading teams.
Marc then told us about an article he read about Leading By Example, and why 70% of employees quit their jobs. He shared about putting people before ourselves, using the Movie, It’s a Wonderful Life, as an example. Lori also gave a personal testimony of the rewards that return to us when we need it most. Finally, the show concluded with the importance of living balanced, and how this includes a strong spiritual aspect. Listen in and hear more about it.
