On today’s Personal Safety, Donna Plourde of Real Life Giving, joined Bob and Lori to discuss misconceptions about sex trafficking. They started off talking about Bob’s affiliation with the FBI, Homeland Security, and personal protection and home defense through Defensive Strategies, LLC. Then Donna told us how she got involved with helping people understand sex trafficking.
Next, they talked about statistics of the trafficking industry, and the ways traffickers coerce their victims. The conversation highlighted the vulnerabilities traffickers look for. Also, the importance of prevention through situational awareness and education. Bob shared the stages of a crime and urged us to know we can stop it at any time before anything bad happens.
