Today of Recovery Now, Jen Lever joined Lori to talk about SPECT Imaging. They started off talking about Jen’s recent visit to the Amen Clinic, where her son had a brain scan. Jen told us about 55 areas of the brain they can identify. She also shared things from Dr. Amen’s book, Change Your Brain Change Your Life, as she added her thoughts about her son’s initial injury at the age of eight.
The discussion turned to brain traumas and the sports that they often occur in. Next, they talked about sudden behavioral changes, executive decision making and healthy vs unhealthy brains. They continued discussing Automatic Negative Thoughts (ANTS), and how emotional intelligence plays a part in recovery.
