Today on Musings With Marnie, Marnie Wells of Gilead’s Balm joined Lori to pay tribute to the men and women who gave their lives in service to America. They started off talking about the meaning of Memorial Day Vs. Veteran’s Day, and how honoring soldiers isn’t agreeing with governments or wars, but recognizing the sacrifice of laying down one’s life.
Next the conversation turned to the importance of remembering our fallen. They continued talking about what freedom looks like, and received calls from listeners, Cynthia Mailhot and Lisa Wentworth Couture, who both felt inspired by the discussion to share tributes to their loved ones. Encouragement to pray for God to restore honor to our country was also mentioned.
In the final segment, they touched on the importance of passing down the meaning of memorial day. Also, finding opportunities to bring greater understanding our responsibility to fight evil.
