This morning we were joined by Bob Boilard of Defensive Strategies and Lynn Nadeau for Personal Safety. They discussed tools of personal protection. They talked about using pepper spray as a means of self-defense and they talked about a number of recent crimes. “We were brought up to be nice,” Bob shared concerning most people’s discomfort when dealing with personal defense. We also heard about a community’s ideas on how to end violence. Finally, they spoke about bullying and being a bystander.
