On today’s Personal Safety, Bob Boilard from Defensive Strategies joined Lori to discuss, Preventative Crime, Situational Awareness, and Lawful Search and Seizure. They started off talking about the recent rape at a local high school. Then Bob shared preventative measures that could have been taken to prevent this crime. He also gave ways a victim might respond in the same situation.

Next, the discussion was about an eighty year old woman who was attacked by a bobcat. The idea that threats not always from people was mentioned as they discussed ways to avoid and respond to rabid animals. Bob encouraged us to contact New Hampshire Fish And Game to report unusual sightings.

In the last segment, Bob told us about the sobriety check points planned for July 20 & 21. He also mentioned how the fourth amendment search and seizure laws were to protect the rights of citizens. He then illustrated how to respond to police within these legal rights, not to incriminate ourselves or to break the law. Finally, Bob shared which powers police have, and how nobody is sovereign and must obey the laws. Listen in and hear more about it.
