On today’s Musings with Marnie, Marnie Wells from Gilead’s Balm, joined Lori to talk about paying it forward. They started off talking about being attentive in our opportunities to help others. They then prayed for the people affected by Hurricane Harvey in Texas, and Lori gave information about how people can help.
Next, they talked about how we often portray paying it forward as just doing good deeds, but it’s more about becoming for others what we once needed. Examples were shared about people in recovery and the military.
Marnie told us God’s heart is for everyone to come to know him so they can have the best life. She also shared how God’s plans for us are good, to give us a future and a hope. She added how we need to have eyes to see as God sees, and be willing to follow and listen to his leading. She then challenged us to consider if we would be ready for an opportunity if God gave us one. Also, if we would have the right mindset and motive.
The ladies shared personal examples of paying it forward. Then they told us as we love others God releases to us what we need. Finally, they shared that we’re not looking for praise from people. Rather, we want to do things in secret where God rewards us. Listen in and hear more about it.
