On today’s Musings with Marnie, Marnie Wells from Gilead’s Balm joined Lori to talk about persevering. They started off talking about James 1:2-4 “Consider it pure joy, my brothers, when you encounter trials”, and Marnie told us it was despite difficulty or delay. She then shared a prayer of faith from a friend, Mary Donnelly, that highlighted how she finds hope praising God through challenges.
Next, they discussed the trouble with emotions, and Marnie told us a story to illustrate how to hear wisdom from God in the midst of testing. They continued talking about the reward that comes from persevering. Mary Donnelly called in and shared the blue-print she found in Scripture to help us see how answers can unfold in our lives.
They then read a post Marnie’s son Noah made on Facebook, called “A Sober Thought”. He expounded about the importance of being rooted in Christ. Marnie added how we’re called to humility and godly character. Finally, they discussed the power of choice, and getting the right perspective when things seem hard. Listen in and hear more about it.
