On today’s Personal Safety, Master Trainer of Defensive Strategies, joined Lori to discuss the Media Violence Influencing Our Children. They started off talking about how we’ve changed as a culture, and how media has played a huge role in this change. They added how parenting has changed with more mothers in the work force, and how violence in Movies, Television, Print, and through the Internet has been steadily impacting culture negatively.
Next, they talked about the decline of morality in the home and in schools. Also, to our detriment, the increase of the need to be significant, yet having no idea what our identity is. They gave the example of how God has been removed from everything unless it’s too late, then we’ll give someone a Bible in prison. Finally, they encouraged parents to be moral role models, and be more involved in their kids lives. Listen in and hear more about it!
