On today’s Musings with Marnie, Marnie Wells of Gilead’s Balm joined Lori to discuss intentional mentoring and natural modeling. They started off talking about Marnie’s desire to train strong women mentors who just get it. They talked about how mentoring was in the past and how it has been lost in today’s culture. They also discussed how this create confusion in children, and the importance of intentional mentoring.
Next, the conversation highlighted how we’re all mentors, but challenged us to ask ourselves which kind we wanted to be. Marnie then shared about timely advice, her least favorite saying, and having priorities in the right order. They also told us how we’re not meant to know everything alone. Marnie then talked about how to be preemptive and teachable, and gave an example of a teachable moment.
