On today’s Recovery Now Shawn Richardson, Brian Godbout and Caleb Cole joined Lori while Jen Lever was on assignment. They started talking about Shawn’s past addictions, being in isolation and needing connection. He talked about his broken life and how he came to discover God’s life-changing love.
Shawn and his friend Brian continued sharing about Shawn’s recovery and how it encouraged him in his own faith. They talked about how they met and how they support each other to walk with God.
The conversation continued with discussing shame an condemnation, and reaching deep for God’s love because that’s where His power is found. They also talked about how God receives us as children and not slaves. Then Brian shared a testimony about Shawn reaching out to help someone to know God as Father.
Finally, Caleb chimed in to share about identity being the foundation. He said it wasn’t about behavior modification, and he demonstrated how to thank God for how he’s already made us.
