On today’s Recovery Now, Jen Lever and guests Shawn Richardson and Dave Demers from The Freemen House in Somersworth, NH, joined Lori to share about the house. They started off talking about how Shawn founded the house, his AA connection, and learning to pray and listen to God. The continued about creating an environment for success in recovery and true healing and hope.
Next, Shawn told us about the importance of an eternal perspective in recovery, and how those who live in the house are self-supportive and pay their own way. Also, his true passion of spending time with those in recovery. He highlighted how they teach responsibility, create a sense of community, and hold family diners weekly.
