Today on Personal Safety, Master Trainer of Defensive Strategies, Bob Boilard, joined Lori to discuss Abduction Survivors and Prevention. They started off talking about North Conway, NH resident, Abigail Hernandez, who was abducted and held for nine months by her captive. They encouraged us to watch her story with our children on Friday night and learn how to talk with them about staying safe.
Next, they highlighted Kimberly Smith’s story a couple decades ago, where she was brutally murdered, so parents would take this seriously. They told us about Gina DeJesus’s, Michelle Knight, and Amanda Berry, who were held prisoner by their former bus driver, Ariel Castro. They also told us of another NH native, Elizabeth Smart, who was also held for nine moths before being released. Finally, Bob gave us tips to helping our loved ones stay safe.
