Today, we had a special Veteran’s Day broadcast to honor America’s Veteran’s. Personal Safety Anchor, Bob Boilard, and It’s A Wonderful Life Anchor, Marc Major, joined Lori. They started off talking about the difference between Memorial Day and Veteran’s Day. They touched on some of the history of Americas involvement in wars, and highlighted the importance of remedying societal issues to prevent future wars.
Next, they told us about the families of the enlisted, the Tomb of The Unknown Soldier, the missing in action, and statistics of living veterans that served. They continued about when Bob served, and the challenges Veteran’s face when they come home. They also discussed their challenges with suicide, trauma, crime, and homelessness.
