On today’s Samaritan Truth, Lydia and Lori engaged in an encouraging conversation of how we can trust God. Lydia told us of a recent anxious experience she had, where God helped her receive his peace as she agreed with the Word of God. She also shared the importance of knowing his way of doing things. Lydia then warned us not to carry emotional burdens of those God asks us to help, but to follow after peace.
The topic of the kingdom came up to illustrate God’s plan for us to live from His life, in righteousness, peace, and joy. Scriptures were shared about knowing God, and that he gives us what we need. They also discussed what growing in maturity looks like, and how it produces the fruit of the spirit. Lydia expounded that worship doesn’t always look peaceful, and she used Jacob’s wrestling with God as an example.
Additionally, the talked about Paul’s time in prison, when he sang and the prison doors opened. They imagined how God may have wanted the prisoners and the guards to know He was real. Finally, Lori shared about what to do when we feel empty. It comes down to knowing God is enough. Listen in and hear more about it.
