They started off talking about Marc’s training with the John Maxwell Team and the importance of investing in the success of others. Marc told us to enjoy the price of success because it costs more to fail.

Next, the conversation continued about money being the least of what makes us successful. But adding value, which is about helping others, is true success. Today, on It’s A Wonderful Life, Coach Speaker and Executive Director of The John Maxwell Team, Marc Major joined Lori to discuss How to Lead Your Team. They started off talking about being intentional about knowing your team. Also, how one bad apple can ruin the bunch, so make sure you put them where they can use their strengths. Then they told us we either train, help or remove people who aren’t working out.

Next, they highlighted being flexible, assessing your team, knowing their personality, and recognizing skills to help develop them. They told us to Pay attention to negative patterns to encourage change. Also, to take responsibility as a good role model, being supportive and creating a positive environment. Going With The Flow To Build Momentum

Today, on It’s A Wonderful Life, Coach, Speaker, and Executive Director of The John Maxwell Team, Marc Major, joined Lori to discuss Going With The Flow To Build Momentum. They started off talking about sharing responsibility and being adaptable. They added about having a sense of urgency with your goals, thinking bigger, and making course corrections.

Next, they talked about being able to discern the flow to be intentional about where you’re going. Then they told us how to build momentum with analogies of a steam locomotive, riding a bike or rowing a boat. Finally, they warned us against working with people who have a different vision. She started off reminding of us of Life Lessons from last weeks show, and admitted her tendency is to move fast. She told us a lot of the fast pace we live is fear-driven, but we can learn to live from a different state.

Next, Lori clarified what slowing down doesn’t mean, and how it can mean we live, richer, fuller lives. She continued with a personal experiences to illustrate how easy we get caught up moving too fast. Next, They discussed the value of time, priorities, planning, and being organized. The added about having a commitment to excellence, and letting go of things that weigh us down. They encouraged us to develop a relationship[ with God, have higher expectations, and a positive attitude.

They started off talking about Noticing what’s around you and which skills you might develop. Marc told us if we’re not moving forward we’re moving backwards, and that we need to learn and grow God’s way to lead well.

Next, they highlighted hiring the right people, and how Marc Marc told us how he trained for a half marathon, and why being accountable helps us. Lori shared the importance of becoming the person you need to be to lead at that level.
