On today’s Personal Safety, Ralph Demicco from the New Hampshire Firearm Safety Coalition joined Bob and Lori to discuss Suicide Prevention. Bob told us how he got interested in the subject after Tom Brown from Manchester Firing Line invited him to an informational meeting about it.
Bob invited Ralph, who is also the former owner of Riley’s Gun Shop in Hooksett, to tell us why suicide prevention is important. He told us after selling firearms to individuals who took their own life within a six day span, he wanted to bring awareness. And so the coalition between the firearms community and the health community.
The conversation continued with the repercussions of restrictive legislation that removes rights of gun owners just because they are going through a difficult time. Instead, the coalition helps gun owners, friends and family members be more aware of safe ways to protect individuals and loved ones.
