STOP Multitasking To Help With Recovery

Posted By: lorilynngreene On:

On today’s Recovery Now, Jen Lever from Recovery Now, joined Lori to discuss how to Stop Multitasking To Help With Recovery. They started off talking about how Jen’s expertise in early childhood development, along with Dr. Caroline leaf’s studies of the brain in her book, Switch on Your Brain, give us better understanding of how to help those in recovery. Jen highlighted from Dr. Leaf’s book how the subconscious works, the driving force behind anxiety, and the physiology of the brain while multitasking vs deep focused thinking.

Next, the conversation continued about the spiritual aspects that confirm Dr’ Leaf’s scientific findings. Jen shared how what we think about affects every cell in our body, our heart, and our brain. She added how giving attention to the wrong thing can cause feelings of chaos, and an inability to make right decisions. Finally, she expounded from Dr. leaf’s book about how we can learn to self-regulate our brains and improve its structure to recover. Listen in and hear more about it.
