On today’s Recovery Now, Jen Lever and special guest Ryan Hornbrook, from City Reach Hope Homes. joined Lori to discuss Ryan’s Recovery and Journey with Hope Homes. They started off talking about how Ryan started using marijuana that led to stronger drugs. He shared how people can build a tolerance using, and then it isn’t enough. Then Jen told us how people try to fill a void that leaves us wanting more. And Ryan added how we’re all worshiping something.
Next, they continued about the importance of knowing who we are, our need for love and connection, and being careful about what we allow in our hearts and minds. Ryan told us how rap music, money, women and drugs affected him negatively. They highlighted fake love vs God’s love, Ryan’s arrest, and how coming together is needed to help those in recovery.
