Jennifer Lever and Laura Coleman joined us for this week’s Recovery Now and discussed heroin addiction and the path to rehabilitation. Their focus was on addiction from a family’s perspective, as both have sons who struggled with heroin, and the tension between feelings of guilt and unconditional love. Tune in to hear more about recovery from those with close experience.
(Segment Two) Jen read a moving testimony of a mother who’s son struggled with drug addiction. Laura talked more about her son’s experiences with recovery, her family’s supportive response to his struggle and a letter that she wrote to him during his recovery process.
(Segment Three) Jen elaborated on loving someone who is struggling with addiction. She recommended Teen Challenge, providing information to connect with them, and then shared personal stories of unconditional love impacting those struggling with addiction.
