Today on Recovery Now, Jen Lever from Recovery Now joined Lori to Discuss Lasting Joy Vs Temporary Pleasure. They started off talking about how our life in God is freer, and how his truth brings life. They added how the word of God accomplishes itself, and the fruit we see in life is from what we think and speak. They reminded us that we’re not our feelings, and how we need to have faith.
Next, they talked about how we all want to feel pleasure, and God knows our path and gives us fullness of joy and pleasures forevermore. Also, that his yoke is easier than the bondage of addiction. Jen told us about effective prayer, and how God does things with order and not chaos. Finally, they shared a testimony of Todd White’s radical healing from addiction. Listen in and hear more about it!
