On today’s Recovery Now, Jen Lever and Outreach Coordinator of His Mansion Ministries, Casey Church, joined Lori to discuss His Mansion Ministries. They started off talking about Casey’s story, how he grew up and got into substance abuse after the tragic loss of his brother. He continued to tell us how he and a friend helped each other get help from the ministry.
Next, Casey told us how His Mansion got started by a couple people fifty years ago, and how they let people sleep on their couch until the house burned down and they got a new place. He then told us about the 19 buildings, 316 acres with mountain views, farm to grow some of their food, cattle, and the ample work for everyone. Finally, how this work helps build self-esteem in those in recovery. Listen in and hear more about it!
