On today’s Musings With Marnie, Marnie and Lori started off talking about how biblical marriage isn’t self-centered. Marnie then shared a story about two men shopping with their wives and how she overheard they gave up their happiness instead of leading as godly men.
Lori told us how she was an immature wife in the early years of her marriage, and how God showed her his plan for marriage roles were better than today’s cultural attitudes of being “fair” and having “rights”.
The ladies continued sharing stories of how God helped them grow through self-righteous attitudes, and how they had to fight against feeling unloved. They told us how to respond maturely and seek the Lord to respond rightly. Finally, Marnie told us why she started Gilead’s Balm, a restful retreat for women who need a break to hear from God.
