Choosing the Right Firearms Instructor

Bob and Lori(Segment One) Lori started the first segment of Personal Safety by telling us about the value that Bob Boilard brings to the community.  She then transitioned to the topic of the morning, which is choosing a firearms instructor.  Bob gave us tips on finding an instructor that will work for you.

(Segment Two) “Not all trainers are created equal,” Lori told us in the second segment.  Bob continued with tips on finding an instructor by pointing out the benefit of checking your instructor’s bio.  They talked about finding someone who gets you engaged and who has real world experience.  They talked about classes that are backed by national organizations and the cost of a trainer.

(Segment Three) Lori and Bob picked the conversation up by talking to us about the cost of a trainer and how essential it is to make sure that the trainer has been trained, as well.  They told us about the importance of finding the right trainer compared to finding the right job.  “There are a lot of instructors that really don’t care,” Bob told us.  We heard about upcoming classes and Bob told us about one of the instructors that he works with.
