Addiction Triggers & Planning For Recovery

Today on recovery now Jen and Lori started talking about what triggers unpleasant thoughts, because “Recovery starts in our thoughts”. They shared the importance understanding the difference between thoughts from fear or love, and how it plays into addictive behavior.

The conversation continued with how important our perspective is when there is a problem, and how it’s an opportunity to grow in mature. They then discussed how to avoid triggers, have a plan, discipline our mind and taking responsibility for our own recovery with better responses.

They continued talking about the 21 Day Detox from Dr. Caroline Leaf, and how peace is our internal umpire. Finally, they shared tools to help with better responses and outcomes.
