The Good News For Recovery

Today, on Recovery Now, Jen Lever joined Lori to share The Good News For Recovery. They started off in remembrance of the late Jason Hart. They highlighted two kingdoms, but told us the kingdom of God is where recovery is possible. Jen added how Jesus made things right for us and we can receive it to recover our life.

Next, they pointed out how the enemy tries to make us think we don’t have what God died for us to have. Also, how most of our problems are an identity crisis, but a revelation of what Jesus finished for us changes things. They then encouraged us not to try to help ourselves, but receive the free gift of righteousness.

They remembered Christians who died in the Sri Lanka church bombings, and made us aware that Christianity is being attacked. Finally, they encouraged us how to pray for loved ones dealing with addiction. Listen in and hear more about it!

Thinking Brilliantly For Recovery

Today, on Recovery Now, Jen Lever from Recovery Now joined Lori to discuss Thinking Brilliantly For Recovery. They started off talking about Foreboding feelings, and how we need to stop trying to figure things out ourselves. Also, in realizing we can’t recover on our own, we can direct our thinking, and God will make a way. They continued telling us how to have access and privilege into God’s redemptive thinking.

Next, Jen told us every problem is an opportunity for an upgrade. She also encouraged us to think brilliantly, because every problem has a promise and provision from God. They then highlighted about not to making assumptions, having a committed heart when seeking God, and how expectations are self-fulfilling. Finally, they told us every problem was designed to give us an upgrade, so count it all joy in the struggles, because in the end we’ll lack nothing. Listen in and hear more about it!


How to Beat Discouragement in Recovery

On today’s recovery Now, Jen Lever joined Lori to discuss how to beat discouragement in recovery. They started off talking about  how to keep hope alive. Then Jen shared some insight from Graham Cooke, about viewing every challenge as an upgrade. She then told us about her journey of suffering in silence, and how people didn’t know how to support her.

Next, they discussed making right choices with the wrong heart vs making wrong choices with the right heart. Jen shared how God led her out of her despair, and encouraged us about how we can RESTART after challenges. Then Lori highlighted how grace frees us while condemnation holds us in our despair. Also, how lies fill us with anxiety while the truth sets us free. Listen in and hear more about it.


True Liberty in Recovery – Independence Day 2017

On today’s Recovery Now, Jen Lever and Bill King joined Lori to talk about what true liberty is for Independence Day.  They started off talking about why we celebrate Independence Day. Then they highlighted how there’s a lot of false freedoms, but “It is for freedom that Christ set us free” (Gal.5:1).  Jen added how we can be our worst enemy.

Next, Jen quoted some enlightening thoughts from Graham Cooke about already being dead to the old nature. The conversation continued about our need of the Holy Spirit, and how Jesus promised to send Him to guide us into the truth that sets us free. They then talked about how we become like the focus and environment we choose to live in. Also, the good, better and best of God.

Bill King joined the conversation to tell us about a humorist who quoted “I have found the enemy and he is us”, and how we have freedom from the oppression of idolatry. Lori read the beginning of the Declaration of Independence to show us our rights to freedom endowed by our Creator. Finally, they touched on the spiritual man. Listen in and hear more about it.

Recovering Your Experiences And Memories

On today’s Recovery Now, Pastor Kathie Saari, from Gates Supernatural Addiction Recovery, joined Jen and Lori. They started off talking about how some people deal with trauma. They also shared the original goal of the broadcast and how it has evolved from just breaking stigmas.

Pastor Kathie then told us about the 22 week teaching from the book, The Genesis Process. She offered how Scripture says the “Heart” is an imprint of memories and emotions, and how the Libic System regulates learning, among other things. Lori expounded on what he relationship with God is.

Finally, the ladies discussed the Limbic System in the brain to reveal how God gives us an option we don’t have without him Listen in and hear more about it!

The Power Of Love

On today’s Recovery Now, Jen shared about the Power and Love trip she took to the Dominican Republic with Todd White. She also told us about the miracles she witnessed, and how healing God’s love is.

Jen then shared an encouraging quote from Graham Cooke about “…walking in the power of God’s perception of us…”, to understand how to stand in our authority in Christ. They continued the conversation talking about a grace that helps us do what we could not do before, and how God sees us.

Lori then shared God’s original intent and how Eve was tempted by knowledge, forgetting her true identity. The conversation changed to being led by God’s spirit, not logic and reason, to find life.  Finally, they talked about God’s benefits from Psalm 103. Listen in and hear more!
