Hurricane Aftermaths, Predictions and Preparations

On today’s Storm Chasing, Ron Moore from The Storm Warning, joined Lori to talk about the aftermath of Hurricanes Harvey and Irma, and predictions about Hurricane Maria. They started off taking about Ron’s recent storm chase in Tampa, where he told us about the dynamic of receding waters and the eye wall of Harvey. He also shared about an over reactions with evacuations, and the successful recovery efforts being made.

Next, Ron told us about the 1886 hurricane season that surpassed this years bay far. He also gave Kudos to the recent low death tolls. He then shared some history of mass migrations and how they used to name hurricanes after their girlfriends. He told us 80% of weather models predict Hurricane Maria will hit New England.
