Today of Personal Safety, Master Trainer of Defensive Strategies, Bob Boilard, joined Lori to discuss Holiday Safety. They started off talking about the National Safety Council’s Holiday Safety Tips. They highlighted fire prevention from the National Fire Protection Association‘s reports, the dangers of candles, fireplaces, and the importance of having a standard fire extinguisher handy. They also told of about turkey fryer dangers, carbon monoxide poisoning, and property damages as reported from The Consumer Product Safety Commission.
Next, they discussed driving safety tips, how to be prepared if you get stuck somewhere. Also, dressing properly, and having ample gasoline. They continued about air travel, flight delays, mental preparedness, and planning ahead.
