Today on Personal Safety, Master Trainer of Defensive Strategies, Bob Boilard, joined Lori to discuss Halloween History and Safety from a video Lori viewed. They started off talking about their concerns surrounding the holiday, how most people don’t see the problem with it, and the historical pagan roots and spiritual ramifications of this occult practice. They also highlighted ways to stay safe starting by checking your neighborhood Sex Offender Registry prior to trick or treating.
Next, they gave safety tips for motorists, and informed us about people coming from out of town to trick or treat. They encouraged us to have situational awareness, offered considerations when choosing a costume, eating candy, and having responsible supervision for kids trick or treating or at parties.
