(Segment One) We were joined this morning by Ron Moore for Storm Chasing. He kicked the segment off by talking to us about extreme weather that took place in Georgia in 1775. He pointed out that there’s nothing new under the sun and talked to us about storm cycles. He shared about the differences between blizzards, hurricanes and tornadoes and gave us a tip on preparedness. He then told us about two storms that had a massive impact on the areas.
(Segment Two) Ron continued with us by encouraging us to be safe as the winter weather draws nearer. He made his predictions on how the winter weather will kick off and talked to us about the unusual warmth that we have been experiencing thus far. We then heard about Samuel Moris, who was a great scientific mind who had a positive impact in this field. We also heard from Ron’s father, who gave us an inside look into his son’s life.
